Paris is one of our favourite cities to bike in, and this week cycling there got even more fun. At least for a few days...
With world leaders converging on the French capital for the climate change summit, the authorities closed large parts of the city to private vehicles, meaning cycling Mecca was unleashed. One intrepid cyclist even took the opportunity to ride uninterrupted around the Périphérique, the ring road that circles Paris and which, on an average weekday, is home to 1.3 million cars.
Imagine being able to ride unhindered around the M25. Almost as good as walking round it, like these chaps did.
Anyway, vive le velo!
